There are few races that were on Edalon before the great portal opened. When calamity befell Edalon and new races poured into the resilient world through the great portal, there was fear that went through many. Where Dwarves did not exist, they rushed through and made their presence known. Where that had not been an elf before, they now tread on sacred grounds and marveled. It was with great hopes that those that sought refuge on Edalon would be welcomed, and the ancient races would embrace them as new residents of their world.
